The countdown to Copenhagen has begun. Delegates will meet in December to discuss and agree on binding emissions reductions goals, adaptation protocol and funding. There have been calls to lower our expectations on the outcome , predictions of outright failure and one strangely awesome underwater event to garner attention for the historic meeting. On July 10 G8 leaders allotted $20 billion for farm aid in developing countries to combat hunger. The same week they came to a soft agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions but left out any financial, regulatory and technological plan to make it happen.
